Bollywood's bad run continues in cricket too

The first quarter of the year 2009 will go down as one of the worst in Bollywood history, what with majority of films biting the dust and the unending tussle between the producers-distributors and the multiplexes, which has added to the woe. Multiplex owners who had hoped that the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches would bring in some revenues were disappointed as they were not given the rights to telecast the matches.

For Bollywood too, the first two days of the Indian Premier League has turned out to be very disheartening with bad luck continuing to haunt them here as well.

All those who are still confused, Bollywood is represented by famous and glamorous personalities like Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan, all of whom are the owners of three different teams. To cut a long story short, new entrant Shilpa Shetty's Rajasthan Royals (last year's winner), Preity Zinta's Kings XI Punjab and Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders have all lost to their opponents in their opening matches.

However, these are early days and here is wishing for a resounding comeback for Bollywood, both on the cricket pitch as well as the box-office!
